Motif Analysis

Edger allen Poe breaks the 4th wall to talk to the audience in most od his writings like the black cat, the raven and the tell tale heart. Poe uses supernatural things to show evil and terror in his story. He use used words like black animals and eye in the writing we read so far.

Poe used things like ravens and black cats to show horror. He used ravens because it a symbol of death and black cat because myths that of they being witchs in low-key. Poe also used bells to show how life is. First start with sliver bells then golden bells then iron bells. He saying sliver bells for childhood and golden bells when your and teen/aldut then iron bells after. The bells sounds changed to show the mood in the poem. In his writing poe useds words like gothic or ghouls to representthe devil or a demons. Poe wants to let us know life is shit and it starts full of joy and happiness then life becames horror and unhappiness.

Mood and Tone

Poe's tone in the "Black Cat" was that all humans have darkness inside us. "....Perverseness is one of the primitive impulses of the human...".poe feels about the theme is that it is the truth. He believes every human has a beast inside when and something or somewhat will trigger it. Poe believes every human has evil in it not even if they dont show it.

Revenge

What I believe revenge is that it's a darkside of you that comes out when someone or something provokes it too. For me a revenge is when someone makes u mad or somthing get into you. When this happens your darkside comes out and you do things u dont want to do.

A time were I had a revenge experience was in a soccer game 2 years ago. A player from another team kicked my knee with his bottom of his cleats and rip skin off my keen deeply. I cloudnt play for over a month and miss half my games in a important tournament. I cloudnt bend my knee while it was recovering becuz of the crust u get after injury keep breaking everytime i bend it. The 3 game i played after i recovered from my injury i slide tackled the player who injury and i felt to full of fury and angry i didnt think twice before doing it. So i slide tackled him and dislocated his ankle. I felt bad after i did that and got a red card for doing so.

What I did i could of got expelled from all leagues 3 plus year. Also there parents could of made a big deal if the kid didnt get back to normla after they took him to the hospital. This could also ruin my soccer career in the furture.

Irony Analysis

One of example of Irony Alfred Hitchcock use in the film was when the lady buying rat poison and she says"I hope this isn't painful". This was an example of verbal Irony because, the woman in the shop is buying poison for killing rats and doesn't want it to be painful. This is Ironic because she's buying poison to kill the rats she has and doesn't want the poison to be painful for them. Poison should be painful if your trying to kill something with it.

The affect this had on the audience was to make then laugh because your buy poison to kill thing. Not to make them feel great by feeling no pain. Alfred Hitchcock meant this part to be a funny moment of verbal irony. This probably made the audience question what the lady said or laugh at it.

Alma

There was a curious girl named Alma walking around the in the streets of Paris on a cold day. she finds a board with a lot of names and she also writes a name in it. As she turns around she sees a doll just like her in a oddy shape window. As Alma gets close she sees its gone and cleans the window to see inside. As Alma sees inside she hears a soft kids voice "Alma...Alma" "Alma come and play with me".

Alma sees the door open slowing hear and the same voice to come in and play. Alma walks inside the store she looks around and sees a lot of dolls and then hears the soft voice say "ok now let's play find and sneak" Alma looks around desperately wanted to know from were the voice is coming from. She looks up to shelf and sees a doll just like her then the soft voice say "oh u have found me" "now come and touch my eyes to know how I see the world". Then curiously Alma gets a chair to get up and reaches for the doll and touches her eye and disappears. She now sees the world has the doll did. "Now let's see who is next haha"

Response #1 Lincoln pledge

Lincoln has been known as bad school and the community does not support Lincoln. But the students had showed the opposite what the community and other say Lincoln students are.

I make the pledge to be one of those students who stood up for there education and break all the stereotypes. I will do this by focusing in my goal which is graduating high school and those who say Lincoln students cant will be wrong. I will be going to collage after graduating Lincoln.

new house nightmare

     Bedtime for some kids is best part after a long tiresome day. This was different for me. I was 8  years old  and was sacred of the dark because my mother made me watch horror movies with her. We lived in a small house with one large room. In that room my big brother,mother and my dad slept there. My brother and I slept  in bunk beds. I was on the bottom and my brother on the top. The room had 2 dressers and a box shaped tv. I felt safe because my parents were in the room when it was dark and most of the times my parents would leave the tv on. 

     This wasn't for long because we moved into a new house that was twice the size of our old one.

This house was so big we didn't have enough things to fill up the empty spaces. Everytime someone walked, you would hear the wood floor go "dun dun dun" or when someone talked, you weould hear echoes all around the house. My brother and I have our own room now and I  felt unsecured. My brother got a new bed and I got the my brothers bed from the bunk beds. We had only our two bed and one big dresser were we kept are clothes. The sun was setting and I started getting nervous about the night that was coming.

    As the night was falling I started shaking of fear. My brother fell asleep as well as my parents and the house was all dark and quiet. Only thing u will hear is the clock with a digital clock in it ticking and the fire alarm beeping. Some minutes has pasted and it's now 12:00 am, I couldn't sleep and I had my blanket over me to hide from the dark. I still couldn't sleep and it was 1am in the clock and I started hearing footsteps down the hallway from my door. My heart started pumping fast. Then I felt paralyzed of fear I couldn't reach for my blanket to cover me so I closed my eyes instead, as I hear my door open slowly.

     The door was open and I heard footsteps in my room getting closer to me, then the footsteps stop right next to my bed. I felt someone heavy breathing in front of my face and I was paralyzed of fear I couldn't move or say anything. The breathing was cold chilly air like if it wasn't a human. After that I I couldn't not move any muscle but o heard my parents calling my name but I couldn't do anything.
